Learning and development at:

2-3 years old

We provide children with stimulating activities with the six areas of learning and development.

All areas are well resourced and have a wide range of different equipment, which reflect and meet every child's interests and needs. We support children's growing independence by ensuring all resources and equipment are on the children's level and are easily accessible.

Practitioners ensure that there is an equal balance between child initiated and adult led activities in order to ensure that children have adequate opportunities to lead their own learning with the support of highly qualified Nursery Practitioners. We also adopt a holistic approach to learning to ensure that children achieve the best possible outcomes. We provide a welcoming environment with plenty of opportunities for social interaction and communication where the child feels safe to show and develop their particular interests and preferences.

Practitioners act as a good role model to promote positive behaviour and healthy independence, but most of all we provide support to all children's learning and development by ensuring we provide the time to listen to them and show that we appreciate their thoughts and ideas so that they have the opportunity to develop into confident learners.
